Interview with Interim Manager Philip C. in Manchester

My role of Interim Head Of HR UK with McBride is a very busy HR Generalist role. I focus on supporting the site HR teams with the service they provide and with the development of a positive industrial relations climate in unionised environments. There is also a good measure of recruitment activity which brings variety to the role. Other responsibilities include the coordination of learning & development activity through one of my teams and I also have the responsibility for the organisation’s Occupational Health provision in the UK. As an Interim Manager I have the ability to make an immediate impact, which is my added value. As an Interim there isn’t time to grow into a role, you have to be able to drop into a business and bring your years of experience to whatever challenges you are presented with. In general, I think that all positive recruitment experiences are about relationship building.
